Manchester United legend Andrei Kanchelskis has said he is 'pleased for the British people' as he appeared pitchside during Derry City's clash against Tobol in the Europa Conference League qualifier.
Kanchelskis is currently the sporting director for the Kazakhstani side and played over 150 times for the Red Devils between 1991 and 1995.
And while being interviewed by RTE he praised the 'British' while he was in Dublin for Thursday's clash.
Speaking at half-time, he said: "I'm very happy and very glad to come back. This is a great atmosphere and great fans. Thank you very much. First half we played a little bit scared, I hope in the second half we play with the ball much better. This is football and I'm very pleased for the British people, they are very friendly and thank you to the fans coming to Dublin from the City. It's a nice stadium and a nice ground."
Derry traveled to Kazakhstan last week where they lost 1-0 away from home but opened the scoring early on thanks to a Will Patching penalty in their second leg Europa Conference League qualifier.
