Thomas Geary, brother of Cork camogie star and TV personality Anna Geary, has passed away.
The Milford native died peacefully on Wednesday at University Hospital Limerick at the age of 34, reports Cork Beo.
The young man, who enjoyed both farming and travelling, will be sadly missed by his fiancée Mary Ita Murphy, mother Ellen Ann, sister Anna, nephew Ronan, brother-in-law Kevin, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The Cork man's tragic passing is the second to hit the GAA family, with Anna's father Michael Geary, passing away in March 2022 following a short illness, with Anna telling RSVP at the time that "It was a big shock, to be honest. My dad only fell ill in February, like six weeks later he was gone."
Tributes have poured in from the community for Thomas and his family following his passing.
The Milford Community Cork Facebook page paid their “deepest sympathy” to Thomas’ family, alongside an Irish phrase meaning, “May his holy soul be on the right side of God”.
The post said: “Deepest sympathy to all the Geary and Murphy families and friends on the passing of Thomas. May he rest in peace Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h'anam dílis.”
CorkBeo reports that Anna had spoken about how both her brother and father had been pillars of support as well as great positive influences on her throughout her career both as a sports star and TV personality.
Thomas’ funeral will take place at the Church of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Milford on Saturday at 1pm with his burial afterwards in Dromcollogher Cemetery.
Local reports say that the whole community is set to turn out in numbers to pay respects at his funeral.
