Ireland is in the middle of a cold snap, with Met Eireann predicting temperatures could drop as low as -1C overnight.
With autumn in full swing, households across the country are facing a seasonal challenge - the build-up of condensation on windows.
Condensation is water beads that form when hot, moist air meets a cool surface. This common issue manifests on windows in the colder months due to warm air from inside the home hitting the cold glass windows.
Not only does it create a visual barrier on windows that can obscure views, if left unchecked it can lead to more serious problems.

If windows aren't maintained, the moisture could develop into dangerous mould that can cause health issues like asthma, eczema and bronchitis.
With this in mind, cleaning enthusiasts have shared their top tips on getting rid of condensation. Many people agree there is just one simple ingredient needed to banish damp and condensation for good.
Taking to the Facebook group 'Cleaning tips and tricks', which was set up for avid cleaners to share their advice, one person asked for advice with a condensation problem.
They posted: "Guys any recommendations for keeping condensation and damp at bay at this time of year? Especially on and above windows."
A number of people weighed in with suggestions such as investing in a dehumidifier, or just wiping off the condensation as it appears.
But one suggestion seemed to be hugely popular - and it's probably already sitting in most people's kitchen cupboards.
Placing salt in a dish and putting it in front of the windowsill was a common solution, with one person saying: "Salt works wonders."
Another agreed: "Put a bowl of salt out, it absorbs the moisture", while a third said: "Salt in a dish on windowsill, cheap and it works."
One person praised the salt tip in her own post.
She wrote: "Thank you ever so much who said to put a plate of salt on the windowsill for condensation. I was shocked. It really does work. No more wiping windows in the morning".
This post saw hundreds of avid cleaners tagging their friends and family, with even more people agreeing that the simple tip had worked wonders for them.
"Yes it does work. I don't have a condensation problem anymore", one happy person said.
