Conor McGregor has been suspended by X - formerly Twitter - after a copyright claim was made against him by singer Akon.
The UFC star shared a voice note on the social media platform on Monday evening in which he sang Akon's hit song 'Locked Up'.
But the following day, McGregor revealed on Instagram that his late-night singing session had led to his X account being temporarily suspended after a copyright claim was made by Akon or at least his team.

McGregor captioned the since-deleted post: “Akon not happy hahaha."
Never one to take a defeat lying down, McGregor responded to this setback by trying to write his own diss track at the Senegalese-American hitmaker.
The increasingly random lyrics to McGregor's song included: "Akon, what’s wrong? I was only signing the song. It wasn’t even that long.
"Song’s out years, Donkey Kong. In the back of the ranch, they weren’t expecting me own little song. Little rapper from the flat, his name was Panch."
It continued: "We used to be poor, but the Proper 12 come along and got us out the sewer.
“Not long, we like to spoil ourselves, Louis [Vuitton] off the shelf.
"New t***, new a***, new teeth - haters go to hell.”
The ball, it seems, is now in Akon's court if he wants to respond to the Dubliner.
It comes as McGregor continues to prepare for a return to Mixed Martial Arts.
McGregor has been out of action since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021, but this lengthy absence is due to end in 2024 when he makes his long-awaited return to the sport.
