Conor McGregor's pub the Black Forge Inn recorded a loss of €432,000 last year according to accounts published by Jemi Ventures - the company behind the pub.
The pub made a loss of €1.13 million at the end of 2021 as its opening was heavily hindered by the pandemic. Its accumulated losses stood at more than €2m at the end of last year.
The Black Forger Inn - Conor McGregor's pub - has recorded a loss of €432,000 in 2022 as the Jemi Ventures-backed pub takes another financial hit.
McGregor bought the pub - situated in Drimnagh - in 2020 for €2m with Jemi Ventures securing permission the following year for a for a large extension to the pub.
According to the Irish Independent, a family-owned barber shop beside the Black Forge - which McGregor is also the landlord of - had to close its doors in September after it wouldn’t be able to afford the €1,500 rent that Jemi Ventures was upping it to.
That sum was triple the amount that the barbers had been paying. McGregor expanded his interests in the beverage industry despite the pub's losses last year.
In April the 35-year-old bought the Porterhouse Brewery in Dublin, which brews his Forged Irish Stout brand. The deal didn’t include any of the Porterhouse bars.
McGregor hasn't fought in two years, with his last fight coming against Dustin Poirier. The Dublin native lost that night - for the second time in-a-row to Poirier - and even ended up with a broken leg.
It is unclear as to when McGregor will make his return to the octagon.
