Frank Browne has been appointed as the Westmeath ladies football manager.
The Ballyhaunis man has extensive managerial experience at inter-county level having worked with the Leitrim, Galway and Mayo ladies, who he guided to the 2017 All-Ireland final, which they lost to Dublin.
He has also managed the Dublin camogie team and the Mayo and Longford hurlers.

Browne will replace Roscommon man Michael Finneran, who had spent two seasons with Westmeath, and his backroom team will be finalised shortly.
Westmeath will be operating at intermediate level in 2024. They won promotion to the senior grade in 2021 but suffered immediate relegation last year and were knocked out of the intermediate Championship at the quarter-final stage this year by Clare, who went on to lose the final to Kildare.
