The All-Star awards ceremony saw both the Footballer of the Year and Hurler of the Year crowned, as well as the Football Team of the Year named.
The hurling XV was revealed on Thursday morning, with four-in-row winners Limerick picking up seven All-Stars (Dan Morrissey, Diarmaid Byrnes, Kyle Hayes, Darragh O’Donovan, William O’Donogue, Tom Morrissey and Aaron Gillane), while Kilkenny had five (Eoin Murphy, Mikey Butler, Huw Lawlor, TJ Reid and Eoin Cody), Clare had two (John Conlon and Shane O'Donnell) and Galway had one (Conor Whelan).
And the football team saw All-Ireland champions Dublin scoop five awards (Stephen Cluxton, Mick Fitzsimons, James McCarthy, Brian Fenton and Colm Basquel), while Kerry had four (Tom O'Sullivan, Sean O'Shea and Paudie Clifford and David Clifford), as did Derry (Conor McCluskey, Gareth McKinless, Brendan Rogers and Shane McGuigan). Enda Smith became the first Roscommon man since 2001 to win an All-Star, while Monaghan's Conor McCarthy also won one.
David Clifford became the first ever back to back Footballer of the Year, while Aaron Gillane became the third consecutive Patrickswell man to be named Hurler of the Year.
