Gardai in Dublin are appealing to the public for information on a red car in relation to a recent hit-and-run in Tallaght which claimed the life of an elderly woman.
Kathleen Furlong, aged in her 80s, died after she was struck by a car at the junction of Fortunestown Way and Cheeverstown Road in Tallaght, southwest Dublin before 11am last Friday.
A man has already been arrested and charged with dangerous driving causing her death.

Philip Ormond, 42, was arrested by gardai at 10.15pm Saturday night and after he was charged and cautioned, he replied: "I'm sorry."
He appeared before Tallaght District court on Monday and is due before Cloverhill District Court again on Friday.
Gardai have now issued an appeal for information on the activity of a small, red hatchback Ford Focus in the area of Cheeverstown Road and the N81 in Tallaght on the morning of the incident, September 8.
A garda spokesperson said on Friday: "Gardaí in Tallaght continue to investigate the circumstances of a Fatal Road Traffic Collision at the junction of Fortunestown Way and Cheeverstown Road (R136) shortly before 11:00am on Friday, 8th September, 2023.
"A male has appeared before the District Court charged in relation to this investigation.
"Investigating Gardaí are appealing to any person with information on the activity of a small red hatchback Ford Focus in the area of Cheeverstown Road /N81/ Tallaght, between the hours of 10.30am-11.30am on the 8th September 2023 to contact them.
"They are also appealing to any road users or pedestrians who might possess camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, and who were traveling along Fortunestown Way or Cheeverstown Road between 10:30am and 11:15am on the 8th of September.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01 666 6000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station."
