Christmas

There’s something about Paris in winter that feels truly enchanting. From the soft glow of twinkling lights to the scent of roasted chestnuts and the cheerful buzz of holiday markets, the City of Light shines with a special kind of warmth during the festive season. This year, Paris promises an especially dazzling holiday lineup, filled with concerts, festive Christmas markets, enchanting window displays and unforgettable dining.

Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, a family celebration or a cozy getaway with friends, winter is the perfect time to experience a more intimate and sparkling side of Paris. We’ve created this guide to help you plan a holiday stay in Paris and enjoy every moment of the season.

Christmas market

Paris Christmas Markets

This year there will be festive markets scattered across the city, each one offering its own charm along with handcrafted gifts, regional delicacies and warming cups of vin chaud.

  • La Défense Christmas Village – November 13 to December 28, 2025
We love visiting this market for its impressive size and festive energy. With more than 150 chalets set beneath the modern skyline of La Défense, it’s the largest in Paris and perfect for finding regional specialties and handmade gifts.
  • Tuileries Garden Christmas Market – November 14, 2025 to January 4, 2026)
This market truly lives up to its name, La Magie de Noël (The Magic of Christmas). Located beside the Louvre, it’s one of our favorite spots to spend an afternoon surrounded by holiday treats, rides and often even a small ice rink. The aroma of roasted chestnuts fills the air, and the views of the gardens and museum lights at dusk make it pure Parisian magic.
  • Saint-Germain-des-Prés Christmas Market – November 25, 2025 to January 1, 2026
Small but full of charm, this market feels like stepping into a Paris postcard. Nestled among elegant boutiques and cafés, it’s the perfect stop for anyone staying on the Left Bank. We love to browse the stalls, then warm up with coffee or chocolat chaud at Café de Flore or Les Deux Magots nearby.
  • Notre-Dame Christmas Market – November 28 to December 25, 2025
Set in the charming Square René Viviani just across from Notre-Dame, this market focuses on French craftsmanship, regional delicacies and festive entertainment. The setting—with views of the cathedral and the Seine—makes it one of the most picturesque holiday markets in the city.
  • Eiffel Tower Christmas Market – Dates to be confirmed
Set along the Quai Jacques Chirac, this one is especially close to our hearts since it’s just moments from many of our Paris Perfect apartments in the 7th arrondissement. The combination of twinkling market lights, live music and the Eiffel Tower glittering above the Seine is nothing short of unforgettable. It’s a must-see if you’re staying nearby.

The Galeries Lafayette Christmas tree and window decorations are unique every year. Plan your holiday stay now to see this year’s display!

Holiday Lights & Window Displays

Each November, the city’s grand boulevards and department stores unveil their holiday displays, transforming Paris into a world of twinkling lights and enchanting windows. While the official unveiling dates and times have not yet been confirmed for 2025, the celebrations traditionally begin in early November and continue through the end of December. It’s the perfect way to add a touch of magic to your holiday shopping!

  • Galeries Lafayette Haussmann – 40 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009
    Expected dates: mid-November to December 31, 2025
Always the showstopper of the season, Galeries Lafayette unveils its breathtaking Christmas tree beneath the famous glass dome, surrounded by lights and festive performances. The windows outside bring that same sense of wonder to life with playful animations and enchanting scenes that delight visitors of all ages.
  • Printemps Haussmann – 64 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009
Expected unveiling: early November 2025 (around 5:00 PM); on view through December 31, 2025
A visit to Printemps is a must each holiday season. The store’s windows are known for their imaginative storytelling, filled with color, music and whimsical Parisian charm. The grand unveiling in early November is always a joyful event that draws both locals and visitors eager to see the year’s theme come to life.
  • Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche – 24 Rue de Sèvres, 75007
Expected unveiling: early November 2025 (around 6:30 PM); on view through December 31, 2025
Over on the Left Bank, Le Bon Marché is a favorite for its refined elegance and creative flair. The store’s Christmas windows often blend art and craftsmanship to create something uniquely Parisian. We love to visit in the evening, when the lights from the windows reflect off Rue de Sèvres, creating a warm glow.
  • La Samaritaine – 19 Rue de la Monnaie, 75001
Expected dates: early November to December 31, 2025
Just steps from Pont Neuf, La Samaritaine’s windows are always a feast for the eyes. Expect imaginative displays filled with color and modern artistry, along with interior decorations that make shopping or simply wandering through the store a holiday experience in itself.
  • BHV Marais – 52 Rue de Rivoli, 75004
Expected unveiling: early November 2025 (around 5:00 PM); on view through December 31, 2025
BHV Marais is the first to officially launch the season, kicking things off in early November with a festive street event and its sparkling façade lighting up Rue de Rivoli. The atmosphere feels truly local and full of cheer. It’s perfect for enjoying an early glimpse of the city’s holiday magic before the crowds arrive.

Ice Skating in Iconic Paris Locations

Lace up your skates and join in one of Paris’s favorite winter traditions. Whether gliding beneath the Grand Palais dome or skating under the lights at a holiday market, each rink offers its own touch of Parisian magic.

  • Grand Palais des GlacesDecember 14, 2025 – January 8, 2026
Skate beneath the spectacular glass dome of the Grand Palais, one of the world’s largest indoor ice rinks. By day, it’s bathed in natural light; by night, it transforms into a glittering scene with music, lights and a lively DJ atmosphere. It’s an unforgettable Paris winter tradition.
  • Tuileries Garden RinkDates to be announced
As of now, the Tuileries Garden Christmas Market is listed as including an ice-skating rink as part of its La Magie de Noël festivities. However the rink’s exact dates and hours haven’t yet been fully confirmed. We recommend checking closer to your travel date for the latest update.
  • La Défense Ice RinkNovember 13 to December 28, 2025
A fun part of the Marché de Noël de La Défense, the spacious ice rink is at the foot of the Grande Arche and is surrounded by the modern skyline and one of the largest Christmas markets in Paris. It’s ideal for combining a little holiday shopping with a few laps on the ice under the city’s sparkling lights.
  • Parc André CitroënDates to be announced
Located in one of Paris’s most scenic parks, this outdoor rink offers real ice and a relaxed, family-friendly vibe. Skate beneath the open sky, then warm up with a cup of hot chocolate from nearby stalls. Often with an extended season, it’s a favorite for both locals and visitors.

Christmas in Paris

Thinking of spending Christmas in Paris? Glittering lights, pretty decorations and Christmas markets create a magical atmosphere, with carol concerts, ice skating and special store displays to celebrate the winter season. The weather may be crisp – with even a sprinkling of snow – but that just makes the cafés and restaurants all the more cozy, ideal for sampling French holiday treats. Here’s some festive inspiration for enjoying a wonderful winter holiday in Paris!

Christmas in Paris

Festive Lights and Christmas Shopping

Expect to see twinkling lights illuminating key monuments, squares and streets during Christmas in Paris, alongside Christmas trees and colorful decorations. Head for iconic Avenue des Champs-Élysées for the most sparkly affair, lit up all night on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Alternatively, wander Avenue Montaigne, Boulevard Haussmann, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Place Vendôme or villagey Montmartre for some of the best seasonal displays. Usually on show from mid-November, many lights stay up until early January to brighten the holidays through New Year in Paris.

Ice Skating in Paris

For a truly memorable experience of Christmas in Paris hit the ice rinks. Ice skating in Paris, hosted outside from November through to January, is an enchanting highlight of the winter season. There’s usually a rink in the Jardin des Tuileries near the Louvre and in Champ de Mars by the Eiffel Tower, both part of bustling Christmas Markets.

Christmas Markets

Traditional Christmas Markets – or Marchés de Noël – are popular in Paris offering winter cheer, fun fairs, festive food and drink stalls, and seasonal shopping. From November onwards, they brighten up town everywhere from Les Halles to Notre-Dame Cathedral, Hôtel de Ville, the Tuileries Garden, La Défense, Montmartre, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Trocadéro and Champ de Mars near the Eiffel Tower. Expect wooden chalets, Alpine decorations, folksy crafts, regional produce and sweet treats, hot chocolate and vin chaud (hot mulled wine). Specialist English, Swedish, Alsatian and Japanese Christmas markets are also held. Even local street and food markets get in on the action. Here’s a list of Paris Christmas Markets for 2021.

Department Store Holiday Sparkle

French shops pull out all the stops for Christmas and New Year in Paris, from lights to trees, fabulous foliage, music, animations, elaborate decorations and themed window dressing. Discover dreamy displays from all the big designer brands, such as fashion house Hermès, as well as the famous Paris department stores, including Le Bon Marché, Galeries Lafayette, PrintempsLe BHV Marais and La Samaritaine. You’ll also find gorgeous gifts and toys in-store, plus seasonal drinks and dining. For more tempting festive food, visit La Grande Épicerie de Paris.

Eiffel Tower Gets Merry

Stunning all year round, with its vibrant nightly light displays, the Eiffel Tower is especially showstopping over the holiday season at Christmas and New Year. The tree-dotted gardens below are free to visit, with enchanting mood lights and snowflake effects. Traditionally transformed for winter, the first-floor terrace boasts igloo-like transparent lounge domes, festive foods, kids’ tours and even visits from Santa.

Holiday Church Services

Get into the festive spirit at one of Paris’s inspiring churches. Many host special services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well as atmospheric carol concerts, organ recitals and candle-lit midnight masses in the run-up to Christmas and over the winter season. Beautiful Paris churches include Église Saint-Sulpice and Église Saint Germain des Prés in the 6th, the American Church in Paris in the 7th arrondissement (for English-language worship), Église de la Madeleine in the 8th and domed Sacré Coeur Basilica in Montmartre. Gorgeous Gothic chapel Sainte-Chapelle also hosts classical concerts around Christmas.

On the way back we stopped at the upscale Bon Marche department store at Sevres Babylon. It was sparkling for the holidays and bustling with shoppers who were marveling at the interesting artisans from throughout France that had been invited to display their work, from graffiti artists customizing sneakers to talented jewelry makers.

“Paris is always a good idea” – said Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina. This, we know. However, it’s magnificent in winter. There are trees draped in fairy lights, pretty festive markets, and a Christmas ambiance like no other city. Even better, many things are actually open on Christmas Day.

Starting in early December the main shopping streets – and pretty much all of the stores – start putting up their Christmas decorations, giving Paris a glitzy makeover. Holiday events such as the Christmas chalets, the grand city decorations and the department store sales, actually continue well into January. So, if you want an extended vacation, then Paris is the place to be.

Year after year, our Paris Perfect team have all fallen under Paris’s spell, but especially so during winter. Read some of our favorite things to do and see during the holiday season…

Natasha loves the Christmas markets

dcp-champs-elysee-christmas-market-paris-6

Photo: David C. Phillips/parisianmoments.com

Natasha, our Marketing Manager, adores visiting the beautiful Christmas markets all over the city. One of the most charming markets is set along Quai Branly. It’s right at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, offering glimpses of La Grande Dame. There’s delicious French food and a myriad of Christmas stalls, selling cute gifts and bespoke decorations.

While there are dozens of other places to visit, one of Natasha’s favorites is the charming little Christmas market in Montmartre, right next to the Sacré Coeur church. Montmartre’s village-like atmosphere makes it even more alluring and children don’t miss out either – there’s even a small petting zoo.

John loves mulled wine

John, our Chief Technology Officer, enjoys making merry when in Paris. He likes sampling some delicious vin chaud, or, mulled wine. It can be found everywhere, at Paris’s Christmas markets and a host of cafes throughout the city.

There are various versions of mulled wine; some being more of a brandy-laced wine. Sipping on a cup while wandering around a bustling Christmas market feels incredibly festive. It certainly gets you into the spirit of things!

Laura loves Christmas shopping at Galeries Lafayette

HW-lafayette-christmas-2016-original-1

Laura, our Senior Writer, aims for the inspired Christmas decorations at Galeries Lafayette. They are truly spectacular and bring in the joyful season. Every year, the store picks one designer brand to feature in their sensational Christmas window display. It’s always exciting to see what they create and an eagerly awaited event.

Past designs have featured a Burberry bears frolicking in London and Dior ballerinas dancing through stylized Parisian views. The other big department stores like Printemps and Le Bon Marche also create colorful Christmas displays, but they can’t compete. Galeries Lafayette is always the winner.

HW-lafayette-christmas-original

Wander towards the heart of the store, to see the iconic Christmas tree under the ornate stained-glass ceiling. Every year, a new tree is designed and proudly displayed in the store. Past creations include an inverted, gravity-defying tree, a beautiful Swatch themed tree and an enchanting white paper one: home to some crafty polar bears. A highlight being a majestic modern pyramid that shimmered with hundreds of oversized baubles.

Madelyn loves Christmas shopping and the New Year sales

Paris Perfect’s Founder, Madelyn, loves Christmas shopping in Paris because she can find unique gifts for friends and family at home. If her travel plans allow, she books an extended stay after the New Year – to enjoy the outstanding January sales. Some of her favorite items include the beautiful gift boxes of macarons from Ladurée.

Madelyn’s tip? Along with seriously discounted prices, you can also get a tax refund if you spend over €175 in one day. So, if Santa didn’t bring you everything you wanted, pamper yourself with a guilt-free shopping spree after Christmas.

Ingrid loves Christmas lights and decorations

Ingrid, our Reservations Manager, spends the whole year managing our chic apartments. When the twinkling Christmas lights and trees are positioned, she loves the conviviality of the holiday. The buzzing atmosphere is all part of the festivities.

A special place to experience a perfect Christmas scene is the charming Place Dauphine in the 1st arrondissement. A cluster of large pine trees are set in the triangular park and adorned with classic glittery baubles and ribbons. Paired with the golden light from the iron lampposts: it’s utterly magical.

Michelle loves seasonal cakes and treats

HW-laduree-christmas-madeline-2

Personally, I look forward to the mouthwatering Christmas cakes, chocolates and sweet delights that the French pastry chefs create.

Delicate golden macaron trees, tiny marzipan fruits and decadent Mignardise chocolates are some of my favorites. These petite treats also make gorgeous (and well-received) gifts. Get some for stocking fillers and make everyone merry and bright.

FO-buche-noel-chocolate-medium

A French Christmas celebration wouldn’t be complete without a traditional Buche de Noël (chocolate log cake) and there are literally hundreds of them to choose from around the city. For something more traditional, you can’t top your local boulangerie or for something a little fancier seek the modern masterpieces available from celebrity chefs like Cyril Lignac, Michalak and Pierre Hermé.

Paris is incredible year-round as there are so many wonderful things to see and do. We agree, it’s always a good idea to come to Paris, but during the festive season it’s pure magic. See you there!

From pre-dinner drinks to dessert, keep reading to find out how to throw an amazing holiday party—the French way!

Christmas food in France

The holidays are quickly approaching, and it’s the perfect time of year to gather around the table with loved ones and enjoy an end-of-year feast! Traditional Christmas food in France is delicious, no matter which holiday you’re celebrating.

Christmas Food in France

Why not take some inspiration from the French this year and incorporate some of their holiday food traditions into your own celebrations? Keep reading to discover how to throw a Christmas party – the French way!

Pre-Dinner Drinks – L’Apéro

Christmas food in France

The French love a good pre-dinner drink, and nothing says “Holiday celebration” more than Champagne! Enjoy the bubbly by itself, or create a classic Kir Royal: Champagne plus a bit of crème de cassis (Blackcurrant liqueur), according to how sweet you like it. If you can’t find crème de cassis where you live, many other types of fruit liqueurs will work just as well. If authentic Champagne is out of your budget, opt for a Crèmant, Prosecco or a domestically produced sparkling wine instead.

The Appetizers – Les Entrées

Christmas food in France

Another thing the French adore during their holiday feasts are appetizers, especially the expensive ones! Christmas and New Year’s are the perfect opportunity to spend big bucks on the best delicacies such as oysters, foie gras and smoked salmon. Pair the fresh oysters with lemon wedges and the foie gras with some little pieces of toast; Champagne will pair wonderfully with these two appetizers, but you can also opt for a sweeter white wine, like a Vouvray, Sauternes or Riesling.

The Main Dish – Le Plat Principal

Christmas food in France

The preferred main dish varies greatly among different regions of France, but the most common choice is some kind of roasted bird (goose, turkey, duck or chicken) with a chestnut-based stuffing. Some families throughout France will opt for pricey seafood like lobster and crab. An easy way to give French flair to your main dish is to incorporate chestnuts in some way, either in stuffing or simply roasted as a side dish!

The Cheese Course – Les Fromages

Christmas food in France

If you’re looking to have a French-inspired holiday feast, you must include a cheese course! If you’ll be in France for the holiday, make sure you pick up at least a couple of these wonderful winter cheeses:

  • Vacherin du Haut-Doubs
  • Beaufort d’Alpage
  • Comté de Noël
  • Brie de Meaux

However, since the majority of you reading this post won’t be celebrating Christmas in France this year and authentic French cheese is basically impossible to find in countries like the United States, some great alternatives are: Brie, Gruyère, and Camembert. Keep in mind, however, that any cheese bought in the US will not be the same as cheese bought in France. The reason for that is the FDA’s rules when it comes to milk pasteurization. You can find unpasteurized cheeses in the US, but it won’t necessarily be easy to track down since most are produced by local farmers or small-batch producers.

The Dessert – Le Dessert

Christmas food in France

After the pre-dinner drink, the appetizers, the main dish and finally, the cheese course, you may not have enough room left in your stomach for dessert, but you simply can’t miss the chance to enjoy the most traditional of all food items during Christmas in France – the bûche de noël, or yule log cake. Bûches come in all different flavors, but as long as the general shape is round and long, resembling a wood log to some degree, you can have complete creative freedom over the contents of the cake. For all the best bûches available in Paris this year, see this blog post!

Other yummy treats include: vin chaud, or hot mulled wine with orange zest, honey, cinnamon, cloves and other spices; or a pompe à l’huile, a favorite in the south of France, which is a type of sweet bread flavored with orange blossom and often star anise.

No matter where you celebrate the holidays this year, and no matter what ends up on your dinner table, all of us here at Paris Perfect wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This year, there are some truly magnificent bûches to choose from, from Angelina's White Peacock to Foucade's gluten-free version. Any of these would make for a stunning centerpiece to your holiday dessert table!

Best Buches de Noel in Paris - Jill Colonna

Every year the top French pâtisseries in and around Paris renew their pastry collections and, when it comes to the end of year holiday season, their traditional Bûches de Noël (Yule Logs) take center stage. Luckily, I was able to taste many of them in advance, so here is my top selection of new festive bûches for December 2016 and New Year 2017.

Angelina

Best Buches de Noel in Paris - Jill Colonna

Created for Angelina by head pastry chef, Christophe Appert, the Paon Blanc (white peacock) takes pride of place for this year’s festive centerpiece. The rare and beautiful white peacock was particularly chosen as an artistic symbol of the Belle Èpoque era, echoing the style of the famous tearoom in Rue de Rivoli since 1903.

The Paon Blanc is sheer elegance on a plate, fanning out delicate notes of the exotic with passion fruit, mango and orange between layers of joconde sponge, with a light coating of white chocolate and coconut. My favourite touch is the addition of a lemon-lime cream, which gives a surprising zing alongside the surrounding airy vanilla mousse. It’s as light as the peacock’s feathers – always appreciated after a festive meal – and its restrained use of pure sugar encourages the delicate fruity notes and white chocolate to shine through.

Three more of their classic yule logs are also available, including their iconic Mont-Blanc, Choco Intense, and the Tentation Passion. Fans of Angelina’s famous African Hot Chocolate will love the new festive spiced edition with cinnamon.

For macaron lovers, enjoy far-from-plain vanilla, covered in powdered gold. And, keeping with tradition, a lovely touch is their advent calendar filled with various chocolate treats.

All these holiday specials are available now at Angelina.

Pascal Caffet

Best Buches de Noel in Paris - Jill Colonna

Known amongst his peers as the King of Praline, Pascal Caffet (Meilleur Ouvrier de France, or MOF) has spoiled us this holiday season since his festive collection is entirely based on his winning praline theme.

The new sublime Bûche Féérique (Enchanting Yule Log) is indeed magical with layered waves of intense praline, a perfectly balanced compote of blackcurrant from Burgundy and smooth chestnut from Naples, topped with a Madagascan vanilla mousse then glazed with blackcurrant. Personally, this was one of my favourites, as the play of textures with the chestnut and fruit are all harmoniously dosed so that every layer’s flavors shine through; the blackcurrant gives that acidic depth, and the whole sensation is surprisingly light.

Four of his other classic yule logs feature 70% dark chocolate: from Venezuela (Etincellante, Merveilleuse), Guatemala (Splendide), and 40% milk chocolate with lime, caramel, and hazelnut praline (Lumineuse). The cherry on top of it all is Caffet’s Spiced Christmas cake; It’s syrupy and moist with star anise, cinnamon, orange and candied Corsican clementines.

The Pascal Caffet Christmas collection is available now.

Jean-Paul Hévin

Best Buches de Noel in Paris - Jill Colonna

Jean-Paul Hévin alongside his Bûche Rêve.

Thank Hévin for chocolate! This year Jean-Paul Hévin’s festive collection is created around the French Touch theme with not one but FOUR new bûches which represent creativity, joie de vivre, fashion and style.

Creativity is given to his personal favourite Bûche Rêve – with dreams of a child being able to reach for the moon at Christmas. It’s the most complex: an orange crème brûlée is subtle but just enough to distinguish some balancing acidity and I love the texture with the crunchy almond chocolate base. Although candied ginger is in there, it’s just a suggestive hint, all billowing around a Brazilian Grand Cru chocolate mousse.

The festive Bûche Cancan represents the French Joie de Vivre party spirit. Like the Cancan dancers, the Tonka base has an exciting crunch, topped with frilly layers of chocolate and almond sponge, with a gutsy Peruvian Grand Cru chocolate mousse. A suggestive dark cherry jelly adds a subtle lingering aftertaste.

Best Buches de Noel in Paris - Jill Colonna

Hévin (also a MOF) has always had an element of la mode in his chocolate and this Bûche Fashion firmly puts it in the bag, as the saying goes (same in French: “l’affaire est dans le sac”). Not quite a “trunk”, this is a compact handbag for any chocoholic who appreciates a pure intense Venezuelan chocolate sensation.

Best Buches de Noel in Paris - Jill Colonna

Be transported to the regal gardens of Versailles with the Bûche Grand Style, especially designed to be easily transportable abroad for any stylish party, even if it’s next day to the USA. Based around a chocolate mousse (Grand Cru from the Equator), its subtle aftertaste brings out the pistachio in the chocolate gianduja base.

Best Buches de Noel in Paris - Jill Colonna

His French Touch continues with humour, demonstrated by a table centre-piece chocolate candle; Bordeaux chocolates showing off le terroir (soil, climate etc. that distinguishes chocolate like wine) with a Grand Cru from the Equator plus the same chocolate is highlighted in a new festive macaron range around the French tradition of the sporting cockerel mascot, known as Cocorico – Cock-a-doodle-do!

Foucade Paris (Gluten Free)

Best Buches de Noel in Paris - Jill Colonna

Clients at le Bristol in Paris will no doubt see Foucade’s founder, Marjorie Fourcade’s propositions on the dessert menu for a gourmet take on “positive pastries.” Both Marjorie and her pastry chef, Saori Odoi (previously from Fauchon and Angelina) are on a positive mission to create pâtisseries that are not just gluten free, but are also low in sugar (unrefined) or dairy free (sans lactose). Gourmets with food allergies will appreciate corresponding ingredient cards to reveal the ingredients behind each pastry plus bonus information such as vitamin intake and calorie count.

Two new yule logs are in the spotlight this season, particularly low in sugar and perfect for anyone watching their diet and refuses to forego gourmet sensations over the holiday season:

The Raw Chocolate Bûche packs a natural dark chocolate punch for the chocolate lover and a generous filling of poached pear is infused with a most subtle hint of Canadian pine.

La Bûche Coco Exotique will delight anyone who is looking for that fresh and zingy fruity finale. Mandarin is the star of the show here along with passion fruit and mango, encased in an airy coconut mousse.

The festive collection – including gingerbread men and other Foucadises – is available as of 15 December. Gingerbread and chestnut cakes (dairy free) are available now.

Christophe Roussel

Best Buches de Noel in Paris - Jill Colonna

Presented as part of the prestigious Relais & Desserts group, Christophe Roussel again demonstrates why he’s classed as one the Top Five French chocolatiers by Gault Millau with his new signature bûche for 2016. The Fleur de Bahiana features his new exclusive 69% dark chocolate, Bahiana® from the Pétrolina cacao family plantation in Brazil. Intense in chocolate with floral and fruity notes, it’s comfortably warm, almost like tasting a chocolate-vanilla pastry version of a velvety hot chocolate, with added playful textures. To top it, it isn’t overly rich.

Other exquisite yule logs feature alongside, such as his Exotic Iceberg (mango, Tahitian vanilla); Meridional Indulgence (nougat, apricot, pistachio with local honey from La Baule by Alain Rey); and Éclat (for serious salted caramel and chocolate fans) which comes with a decorating kit complete with a salted caramel sauce.

Various chocolate Christmas figurines also present his exclusive Bahiana® chocolate – choose from festive sleighs, Christmas trees, raindeer, penguins, and his famous innovative “kisses”.

Although based in La Baule in western France, yule logs can be ordered via the Paris boutique in Montmartre and are available as of 23 December.
