Sony

The Sony WF-C500 have been called the 'best cheap wireless headphones on the market' by reviewers and usually cost €102.97 on Amazon. They very briefly dropped to below €50 last year for a couple of days only and now Amazon has cut the price to its lowest level in a year.

The headphones are €51.47 in the Amazon Black Friday sale after initially being reduced to €65 in the last few weeks. With 20-hour battery life and fast charging, they are one of a number of great headphone deals in the Amazon Black Friday sale.

The headphones are the most cost-effective in the Sony wireless range, sitting below the WF-C700N (which have 24 percent off), Linkbuds S (which have 21 percent off) and the range-topping WF-1000XM5 (which are widely acclaimed as the best in-ear active noise cancellation (ANC) buds on the market and have 15 percent off). The WF-1000XM5 cost €259 at Harvey Norman, incidentally, while the over-ear WH-1000XM5 cost €329 at Harvey Norman.

Sennheiser

Sennheiser is a brand I love as I’ve been using their headphones for decades and am always pleased with the audio quality. When I reviewed the Sennheiser HD 450SE closed-back wireless headphones (a Special Edition version of the company’s HD 450BT model) I said “I’m a fan of the flat and nicely balanced tuning that delivers clear and precise audio across the musical spectrum.”

These noise-cancelling headphones deliver high-quality wireless sound alongside seamless Amazon Alexa interaction. They have 54 percent off their price in the Amazon sale and now cost just €93.72.

The firm’s most recent over ear wireless headphones, Momentum 4, deliver up to 60 hours of battery life and have 37 percent knocked off their price this week. They now cost just €251.46. The Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds, meanwhile, have 28 percent off and now cost just €188.59.

Bose

I’m currently testing the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds for an upcoming review and they have the best active noise cancellation I’ve experienced with in-ear headphones. They were only launched recently so I was surprised to see a Black Friday deal on Amazon with 13 percent off.

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra over-ears are also newly launched but again you can snap them up with an 11 percent discount that brings the price down to €456.06. The same cans are reduced to €479.99 at Currys, incidentally.

Beats by Dre

In my review of Beats Studio Pro, I said: "These are priced as premium ANC cans and they deliver in that regard, more than a match for the four premium ANC models I tested them against. However, the Transparency mode falls just a little short of the super high standard on AirPods Max and AirPods Pro 2. But it’s still better than a lot of the competition."

You can get 38 percent off the price in this Black Friday deal, which sees the price tumble to just €113.16.

Best of the rest

Here are some other headphones brands worth checking out on Amazon...

JBL Tune 670-NC headphones
JBL Tune 670-NC headphones

JBL is one of my favourite audio brands. The firm produces excellent portable speakers, gaming headsets, soundbars and headphones for all budgets. On the firm's Amazon store, you can grab the JBL Tune 670-NC for just €87.85, a 17 percent discount. There is a great line-up of JBL speakers at Harvey Norman including the Clip 4 which has been reduced to €49.95.

Skullcandy is a hugely popular headphones brand and it is offering 27percent off its awesome Crusher Evo wireless headphones which have sensory bass and 40 hours of battery life. Get the €141.73 deal here.

Jabra makes a range of great wireless earphones including some brilliant sets for fitness enthusiasts. When I reviewed the Elite 4 I said they were “a great all-round set of fitness earphones”. In the Black Friday sale, their price is cut by 40 percent to €68.57.

It's hard to find Apple discounts (as the firm itself prefers to give customers money back vouchers this week). Harvey Norman's €40 off the latest AirPods Pro (now €239) is the best price I have seen so far.

The OneOdio page shows off the firm’s extensive range. I spotted the firm is giving a 20 percent discount on its Open Rock S buds. These open-ear, air conduction, headphones, are ideal for anyone who needs or likes to hear their surroundings when cycling or running in order to keep safe and alert. They now cost €84.35 reduced from €105.43.

1MORE is a great audio brand that creates top notch headphones and earphones at affordable prices. They recently launched three new products, and the best deal I spotted was for the firm’s Aero true wireless earbuds with spatial audio. They have 40 percent off and now cost €70.29.

JLab – You can get up to 40 percent off off JLab’s range of earbuds, headsets and microphones at various retailers. If you buy a set of JLab Audio Go Air Pop from Currys for €20.99 not only do you get low price buds but Currys is offering five months of Apple TV+ (worth €6.99 a month) free.

Other audio products with good deals available this week include Majority which offers more than 30 percent off selected soundbars and earbuds including a 100W soundbar and subwoofer for just €60.88, a 42 percent discount.

Check out the Lenco page on Amazon to avail of huge savings of up to 25 percent off Lenco’s highly acclaimed turntables and other audio devices until the end of the month. You can also get Irish-only deals from Golden Discs which I wrote about here.
