The first Google smartwatch, Pixel Watch, launched in October last year. While this year’s Pixel Watch 2 introduced improvements to battery life, the original still comes highly recommended – especially as it’s plummeted in price to just €227.37, thanks to this Amazon deal.
The LTE version of the Pixel Watch is the same price and enables you to make and receive calls and texts without needing your phone nearby, though you’ll need to pay for an eSIM to stay connected. Sadly, Irish mobile phone operators have still not introduced eSIM for smartwatches.
In our Google Pixel Watch review, we said it “gets enough right to be one of the best Android smartwatches out there.” We added that “it may need to be a bit slicker to match the Apple Watch in terms of ease of use, but Pixel Watch is already one of the best Android smartwatches out there alongside Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5.”

We were impressed by the Pixel Watch’s fitness credentials, which is hardly surprising given that Google has essentially built a Fitbit right into the stylish wearable.
If you’re looking for a wearable to track your workouts and count your steps, rather than a full-featured smartwatch, Pixel Watch is a great option - especially with 41 per cent off the price.
There is a great deal too on Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, with a 23 per cent discount bringing it down to €375.90.
When we reviewed Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, we said: “If you are a Samsung smartphone owner, then this is the best smartwatch you can buy. But the beautifully crafted wearable with the stunning display also suits other Android phone users almost as much.”
There is also a Black Friday bargain to be had on the newer Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 which I am currently testing for a review.

While its SmartThings Find feature can locate your phone even when it's not connected, using GPS to determine its last location.
Galaxy Watch 6 has 22 per cent off its €364.48 RRP and now sells for €284.50.

Last but not least, the Huawei Watch GT3 Pro was hailed by our sister site as “a spectacular upgrade to an already incredible smartwatch.” Currys has slashed the price of this classy looking titanium fitness wearable by €70 to €279.
