Katie Taylor

Boxer from Bray, Co Wicklow, who won the Olympic title in London in 2012. Born in 1986, she has also won four world titles, five European titles and four European Union titles, all at 60kg. She carried the Irish flag at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics and won a number of caps for the Republic of Ireland women's soccer team.
