Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle has shared a proud moment in her 21-year music career, as she collected an award for her contribution to the music industry.
Derry-born Nadine was awarded The Forth Music Recognition Award at the wards ceremony, as well as performing to close the event. The award is the second in a month after the star was also awarded with the Outstanding Contribution To Music accolade at The Irish Post Awards 2023 earlier this month
Sharing a post to her Instagram with pictures of her beaming as she held up her award, Nadine wrote: "Thank you Forth awards for my award for my Contribution to music!!! Xx Thank you to everyone for all of your support!!! I feel so lucky that after all these years of doing what I love I still get to do it & have so much love in return!!! Xx".
The star was flooded by support from fans, as one commented: "Well deserved amazing talent and singer". Another added: "Two awards in 7 days, crazy! Love that you still get to do what you love doing all these years down the line." A third added: "Because you’re phenomenal! Congratulations!! All the awards babe!!" A fourth wrote: "2 awards in a week look at you go, absolutely thriving. Congratulations beaut".
The award comes after the Derry singer might also have another career in mind as she hinted that she has a book in the works. Speaking to The Sun earlier this month, Nadine shared: "I haven’t done a book yet but we are in discussions. You have to be really open, it is a big undertaking and you have to be prepared."
Nadine has also continued to be tight-lipped about a reunion with her former girlband mates, as when asked about a comeback she simply said: "I have nothing to say."
Girls Aloud formed in 2002 after all five singers auditioned and fought for their place in the group as part of ITV's Popstars: The Rivals. They went on to have an incredibly successful decade-long music career, before they broke up in 2013 after releasing their last single, Beautiful 'Cause You Love Me.
The band including Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have been reported to have secretly reunited at a North London studio to shoot their music video for their first single in 11 years. The five piece will be coming back as a four piece, after member Sarah Harding died of breast cancer in September 2021. The group is also said to have recorded a new song dedicated to their fifth band member's memory.
