Cian Kavanagh can’t wait to get back to St Patrick’s Athletic and start working under another former Hearts man.
Kavanagh will return to Richmond Park ahead of next season, having previously lined out for the club’s underage section.
The club’s second signing in two days from Derry City, he made the move from Pat’s to Hearts in 2019.

While there, he played for the club’s Under-20 side while current Saints boss Jon Daly was assistant manager of the senior side there.
Kavanagh said: “I'm excited to be back, I've been at St Pat's before and I know what the club is about, I'm really looking forward to it and can't wait to get started.
“I had a couple of good years here in the Academy at 15s and 17s and scored some goals so hopefully I can do the same at senior level.
“I've had good conversations with Jon Daly, he was the Assistant Manager at Hearts when I was there in the Under-20s and Sean O'Connor coached me in the Pat's Academy too.
“So I can't wait to get on the training pitch and hopefully it will be a good season.”
Kavanagh also had spells with Cowdenbeath in Scotland and Waterford, before he moved to Derry in the 2022 July transfer window.
Daly hailed the latest arrival, saying: “I'm delighted to get Cian in, it's an area of the pitch we're looking to strengthen.
“We lost Eoin Doyle towards the end of last season and Conor Carty has returned to Bolton after his loan, so we're very happy to add Cian to our attacking options along with Tommy Lonergan and Mason Melia.
“Cian fits the profile we are after, he's a young, hungry player, who wants to be successful.
“He's someone I've had my eyes on since his days at Waterford where he was excellent, and in his time at Derry.
“He always impacted the games in a positive way and we are looking forward to getting him in and working with him.”
