Jon Rahm's demand for the PGA Tour to provide more portaloos at its events appears to have worked, with the American-based circuit set to implement a whole host of new player amenities in 2024.
One of those amenities is set to be further toilet access according to a PGA Tour memo obtained by Sports Business Journal. The memo claims the Tour will offer, "private and convenient location on the course that offers a flushable restroom, water, and dry snacks that will be available on both the front 9 and back 9.”
The report also revealed that the American-based circuit will commit to providing four player restrooms per nine holes, providing Rahm and co with eight usable toilets across each course.

Addressing the issue in August, the Masters champion said: "I can tell you right now my priorities are a lot lower than what a lot of people would think. If I have to - if I go by request - I know this is going to sound very stupid, but as simple as having a freaking Port-a-Potty on every hole.
"I know it sounds crazy, but I can't choose when I have to go to the bathroom. I've told the Tour this many times, as simple as that. Just simple little things better for the Tour. Even though they do a phenomenal job throughout the year, just making it more consistent."

The Tour's amenity update came just hours after it was reported by Bunkered that two-time major champion Rahm was in talks to join LIV Golf. The report claimed that whilst the chance of Rahm imminently joining the breakaway league is 'way off the mark', he is said be 'closer to joining than he has been before'.
Since their formation last summer, LIV have been able to lure in a whole host of the PGA Tour's biggest names, including Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau and Cam Smith. Landing the signature of Rahm could well prove to be their biggest signing yet.
The Saudi-funded series has been at war with the PGA Tour following its inception last summer, but despite the bad blood, Rahm has been one man who is stayed out of the slagging match. This has not stopped him having his say on the saga though, seemingly taking a neutral approach.
Speaking just weeks after LIV's formation last June at the U.S. Open, Rahm pledged his loyalties to the Tour, but could see why some of his fellow players were keen to make the move. "I consider the PGA Tour has done an amazing job giving us the best platform for us to perform," Rahm said.
"I do see the appeal that other people see towards the LIV Golf. I do see some of the - I'll put this delicately - points or arguments they can make towards why they prefer it." More recently the Masters champion seem to play down any chance of him making the Saudi switch, laughing off his LIV rumours. "I laugh when people rumor me with LIV Golf," he told the Golf Sin Etiquetas.
"I never liked the format. And I always have a good time with Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia in the practice rounds of majors. Phil [Mickelson] respects my decision, and I respect his [choice]. Mickelson has told me that I have no reason to go play for LIV, and he has told me that multiple times.” According to reports though, it appears Rahm is now open to the chance of joining Mickelson, Garcia and the LIV setup.
