Republic of Ireland soccer
The Irish national soccer team plays home games at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. The team has qualified for three World Cups, most recently in 2002, and contested two European Championships. Giovanni Trapattoni was dismissed as manager in 2013 after failing to come through the World Cup Qualifying group.
