Ryan Tubridy has broken his silence on rumours that he could be heading Down Under to appear on one of the most popular reality shows on TV during the autumn.
The former Late Late Show host has been tipped to appear on this year’s I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, with bookmakers Ladbrokes suggesting that the long-time RTÉ presenter could take part in the series.
Unfortunately, the radio and television personality quashed any hopes of us seeing him doing a bushtucker trial, telling his followers on social media that, despite loving hosts Ant and Dec, appearing on the show was "never going to happen".

The star was backed to appear on the show alongside some other famous Irish celebrities; including Una Healy, Maura Higgins and Vogue Williams.
He told his Instagram followers: "Just so you know, I can't speak for Maura or Una but as far as I'm concerned (and as much as I love Ant and Dec), this is never going to happen".
Una and Maura have odds of 2/1, while Greg O'Shea is backed at 6/1. Vogue Williams has odds of 8/1 at the moment with her podcast co-host Joanne McNally placed at 12/1.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: "Excitement around the return of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! is at fever pitch and if the latest odds are to be believed, we could be seeing some very familiar Irish faces on our screens with the likes of Una Healy, Ryan Tubridy and Maura Higgins currently among the names in the mix for a stint in the jungle!"
While Ryan has yet to announce what his next venture will be, the former host did pull out of his first public appearance since his RTÉ exit in August on Tuesday.
The ex-RTE star was set to be a keynote speaker at the Women and Agriculture conference at the Lyrath Hotel in Kilkenny on Wednesday, October 25.
