Victoria Mary Clarke has updated fans and followers on beloved singer Shane MacGowan's health, sharing a picture of him from his hospital bed.
Recently, the wife of The Pogues legend shared that he had been taken to hospital and spent some days in ICU for an unspecified issue, but did not go into detail. It is understood that the singer has been in hospital since June.
In a post on Twitter, Victoria thanked everyone for sending love and prayers for the former Pogues frontman during his hospital stay adding that she is sending blessings to anyone having “health challenges”.

Alongside a picture of the pair smiling as Shane is in a hospital bed, she wrote: “I just wanted to thank everyone who is sending love and prayers for Shane MacGowan we really appreciate it and bless all of you and anyone anywhere who is having health challenges!
People flocked to the comments to share their support for the Pair of Brown Eyes songwriter, sending him and his wife positive messages as he recovers.
One fan wrote: "Send everything positive that can be sent to you... Everything will be fine again! Feel hugged."
Another added: "Sending prayers & best wishes for a speedy recovery!" A third went on to pen: "Sending all the love I possess."

This is the second update in recent days from Victoria about hubby Shane’s health. On Saturday, the former music journalist revealed the singer was “doing well and being looked after” while in hospital.
She told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “He is still in hospital but he is doing well and being looked after. I didn’t want to worry people. He is out of the ICU and doing well.”
