Most of us have been gamers at some point in our lives, but for the best of the best it's a serious business, and e-sports - competitive gaming - gives the world's best players the chance to compete at the highest level for huge prizes and worldwide recognition.
Next month, Ireland's top e-sports athletes will be battling it out at the Camden in Dublin in the the Virgin Media A-Games for a once-in-a-lifetime professional contract with Usain Bolt's WYLDE Academy, with all play powered by Virgin Media and their superfast reliable broadband.

What is the WYLDE Academy?
Founded by Steve Daly and David Cronin and co-owned by the greatest sprinter of all-time, multiple Olympic and world champion Usain Bolt, WYLDE is based in Ireland with deep roots in the Caribbean.

What's happening?
Virgin Media, along with their partners WYLDE, are powering an e-sports tournament, A-Games, to find Ireland’s best Valorant team. WYLDE will select a shortlist and teams will compete over two weeks of regular season play and a play-off, with the two final teams playing at the live final event in Dublin on October 18th.
It will be an unmissable night of top-flight e-sports, with appearances from Dublin rapper JyellowL, UK gaming influencer Queenie and Valorant commentators and analysts Beatriz 'Kaquka' Alonso from Spain and Dublin's very own Mitch 'Mitchman' McBride.
